What causes Rosacea?
Despite often being referred to as Acne Rosacea or Adult Acne, due to the similarity in appearance with the teenage infliction of Acne Vulgaris, it is, in fact, a different disorder. Rosacea causes a redness to the skin, often raised and aggravated looking, severe sufferers of Rosacea can sometimes develop Rhinophyma. For the majority of Rosacea suffers it is a bumpy pimply appearance to the skin, redness and often suffer from skin flair.
The actual cause of Rosacea is unknown, it is often a hereditary disorder giving an indication of a genetic susceptibleness to the disorder. We currently have management treatment of the disorder, there is no known cure, notwithstanding the treatment is getting more effective as each year passes.
