Putting this into perspective the Cynosure Elite machine we use costs just over €90.000 whereby cheap Diode Lasers can be as little as €12000; the results as you can imagine are not the same.

Every week we talk with clients that have had 10, 12 even 18 sessions of hair removal and not seeing the results they expected. The correct industry standard as set by the manufacturers of leading brands is six sessions. Occasionally, some people and this is very rare require up to ten sessions.

Laser offers (permanent hair reduction), the reality is once you have had your course of 6 sessions you will need maintenance sessions of one or two per year. Not all the hair grows back and in some people, it hardly grows back at all. The most common outcome is stray hairs and some patches. Unlike body waxing whereby the hair just grows back once you stop waxing; laser achieves a (permanent reduction). Despite many advancements in laser technology, as a rough guide, a little pain similar to an elastic band hitting off the skin means you are having an effective treatment. Many manufacturers have been trying to minimise the pain but this has also caused other problems. The Soprano XL Laser for instance in gentle mode has been causing extra hair growth, a little embarrassing when you wanted it removed. Candella GentleLase is a brand name and does not mean it is a painless laser if your laser technician says it will be painless then I would be concerned the machine is being turned down, a very common practice.

How many laser hair removal treatments
